Song List Information

|---|---|---|---|
This catalogue of song titles is an alphabetical listing of all songs John Sidney recorded in the studios of Hobart or on his home recorded tapes. It is an alternative to viewing each CDs song titles in our online CD catalogue and will assist you in your search to find your favourite songs. The index identifies whether a particular song title has been recorded in the studio or was originally on a home recorded tape. If the song title is available on CD on this site, the CD code(s) will display, and when clicked on, will open that particular CDs' list of song titles for your review. The Song titles are red, but as you pass your mouse cursor over each song title, the song title colour changes to blue. While the title is coloured blue, click on it to begin downloading the free MP3 music sample for your review. Utmost care has been taken to preserve the home recorded tapes by reproducing them onto CD's. There are at least 12 home recorded CD's available. While some are near studio quality, others you may notice a slight tape 'hiss' in the background, particularly when they are played on an expensive sound system, however you will find them all to be great listening. When played on an ordinary CD player, or on a car CD player, you most probably won't notice the imperfections in recording quality anyway. The music on the home recorded CD's is still very enjoyable to listen to. Some of the home recorded tapes we have are of John playing Hammond organ. The organ music CDs are wonderful listening too, particularly if you are an organ music enthusiast. Each of the home recorded CD's has approximately one hour of continuous easy listening piano music on them. The home recorded CD's will be added to the CD list once licensing of the music has been obtained. Sampling of the tracks will also be available as they appear in our web CD catalogue along with the current studio recorded CD's. Our plan was to make lyrics to most songs on our CD's available, however after receiving quotes from the various publishers to do so, this has proved to be too costly for us to follow through with at this stage. We have published some lyrics which are ‘Public Domain' songs. Where lyrics are available to a song title, an "L" graphic will display next to the song title. Click on this link to view and print the lyrics. If you are interested in a particular song in the list which isn't currently listed on a CD in our online CD catalogue, you can e-mail me at graeme@evergreenmelodies.com for more information. |
